epidural for endometriosis

hi so i haven’t used this sub before so delete if not allowed but i wanted to see if anyone else has had this done!

basically i have stage 4 endo, and had surgery 2 years ago. slowly pain was coming back but when i told my gyno she brushed me off and said i needed to ‘do more physio’

anyways fast forward to now, i have a daily pain rating of 8/10, ended up in emergency with 10/10, have had weird symptoms like vaginal pain and cramping, and it turns out i have a nodule/mass behind my cervix. they haven’t biopsied it yet, but they think it’s most likely an endometrioma.

now i can’t have surgery until next year, and im currently living on opioids and thc to manage my pain, but my gp suggested that I may need an epidural to help get me through these next few months, has anyone had any experience with this before?
