I have a pretty stupid but very plausible theory on the identity of [SPOILER] And it's right in-front of our noses.
It's no secret that the Roaring Knight is quite possibly the most ambiguous and talked about character. There are a ton of theories, ranging from Dess to Kris to even Ralsei. Personally, i believe the Roaring knight may be someone entirely new who was trapped in the dark world, ultimately changed by it.
But there's also another possible identity, one who we're intimately familiar with.
Roulxs Kaard.
The idea of him being the Knight is stupid, but hear me out.
Obviously the Roaring Knight is leagues smarter than any other foe we've faced. They planned ahead, somehow beating Ralsei and the Fun Gang to Tenna to relay information and plans. If they're so smart, it would be horrifically obvious who they would be if they were amongst us, unless they were playing a charade.
That's where Roulxs comes in. Think about it: In almost every chapter, in some way, Roulxs has crammed himself into our adventure. Those adventures are suspiciously the ones where the central figure is being directed or even mislead (in the case of queen) by the Knight. It's further reinforced by the fact that Roulxs literally appears in a encounter just before the final boss, either directly fighting or commanding monsters.
That leads to another point- Roulxs, despite being supposedly stupid and pretty insufferable, somehow charms most of the darkeners he comes across to his side. Isn't that a bit odd? Even the Weather Couple is charmed to his side. It lines up with the Roaring Knight's manipulative and lying actions implied at least once in Queen's Pacifist ending.
Additionally, that intelligence to plan ahead is why i'm even more suspicious of Roulxs- Absolutely no other darkner is on the level of "dumb" he is. Not only is his name literally a rehash of the object he's based on, which isn't too sus as most darkners seem to have awareness of the object they are, but he's also shown to be generally incapable. It makes me think that the Knight is playing a character, and an obviously stupid one, for one simple reason:
Hiding in Plain Sight.
It all lines up in either evidence or coincidence. Roulxs Kaard. RK, Roaring Knight, RK. Is always at the scene of the crime, so to speak, and is shown to be manipulative and capable of rallying people against the darkeners, even unwillingly.
Either Roulxs and the Knight are one in the same, or, scarier, Roulxs is nothing but a puppet for the Knight, and with their proximity to Castle Town, it's very concerning.
