Any good indoor date ideas for <6 hours? Vernon-ish area

Going out with my girlfriend some day this week. Neither of us are too keen on the heat at the moment, and I can't be out longer than maybe 6 hours because my cat is a bit ill and needs semi-frequent attention. Anyone know some good indoor activity ideas? We are a little tired of malls I think and I don't have a lot of money right now. Vernon-ish area. Can drive some.
