Car as an asset how much impact

Stepdad wants to transfer ownership of the familycar a rav4 toyota 2018 to me as he doesn't drive much he is retired..70yo i am his carer he is disabled.

Will a car like that be considered a big enough asset and alter payments i get from Centrelink on

Also... can he transfer at Qld Dept of Transport without selling it to me ?
