Can Ureaplasma be transmitted through fluid on clothes?

Hey everyone,

Back in 2023, I tested positive for ureaplasma parvum. Since then, Ive completed treatment and have tested negative at least three times. However, Im still experiencing some lingering symptoms which has made me really cautious in my current relationship since Im scared i could somehow still have the bacteria.

We haven’t had penetrative sex because of my ongoing concerns. But the other day, things got a little heated, i was really aroused and ended up soaking through my shorts. His bare penis came into contact with my shorts a few times, but there was no penetration.

Now Im spiraling with anxiety, terrified that I may have passed ureaplasma to him that way. I know it might sound irrational but the guilt is overwhelming, and I keep thinking I might have hurt him.

Is this kind of transmission even possible? I’d really appreciate any insight or reassurance.
