so do you think that the real divide is between those who were growing up pre internet to those who grew up with the internet?
So when i was 12 I figured by now we'd have flying cars or people living on the moon or mars or whatever...but I never really imagined I'd be able to listen to whatever song I wanted whenver I wanted. A lot of what people might take for granted today are things I never really imagined were possible(maybe a better way to frame it is I never really imagined it happening)
And then I think just back a few years(i sound like my Dad...the movie Her was done over a decade ago)...but I watched that movie almost thinking it was absurd but there are now apps people pay that provide that kind of service. It doesn't make sense to me but it seems to be more and more common.
Maybe us Gen X types romantize things feeling simplier when we were growing up. No cell phones. Sometimes the rule was when the street lights come in we have to get home. People had to all go to someones house to play video games together. No social media. The 24 hour news cycle didn't really exist.
