[acne] Tretinoin cream 0.05%?

[acne] I recently asked my provider about trying tretinoin cream for my acne at 27 y/o. She easily prescribed it and I picked it up today. There seems to be a huge packet that came with the script of precautions and etc. does anyone know if this medication is safe? Some things I’ve looked up scare me about how unsafe it is and some say it’s topical & is perfectly fine and less absorbed. I’ve read things about it affecting fertility, changing skin into having more acne? Is it really this risky? Is it safe while breastfeeding?
