Thoughts on car free days in Surrey

Seeking Opinions From Locals 🗣️📢👥

Recently read a book about how to make cities happier and one of first chapters had an example of Bogota and how them doing car free days has made more residents come out and socialize. There’s many other cities in Europe and Latin America doing the same.

I would suggest blocking a small part of a road instead of blocking cars from driving in the whole city. Maybe blocking university drive from library till gateway station, once a month or so.

Ps- This is for genuine opinions and discussion, don’t be snarky. I know they tried doing one last month but that was only one block near Newton
