Figuarts Bootlegs: Info needed.
Hey everyone (waves).
So I'm a long-time Japanese toy collector (Mainly anime toys as I'm a huge Anime/Manga guy and have been most of my life). However I've only picked up a handful of Bandai's SH Figuarts line previously. I'm starting to really get into them now and have been picking up a lot of the more recent releases for Original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Super, One Piece, Kaiju No 8 and Berserk. Since I've been collecting a long time it seems that nine times out of ten it's quite easy to tell when a bootleg is being sold online. Things like different packaging, no bandai and Toei logo, no holographic sticker, ridiculously cheap. A generic character name instead of the official one, the list goes on and on.
HOWEVER. Because I'm at a time of my life where I just finished work temporarily and am currently looking for another job while I tackle college I can't quite afford Figuarts right now and so If I get any in the next few months at least they're probably likely to be presents this brings an important issue.
My family don't really have a lot of time to spend researching so I would much rather just give them a list of the figures that have known bootlegs so they can avoid getting those particular ones because I would hate them to get ripped off due to lack of knowledge.
Does anyone have any lists of known bootleg SH Figuarts? if you do that would help me not spending hours down a research rabbit hole. A kind of "Checklist" for past figures that have been KO'd would be a great resource to have.
I haven't owned any stuff like the Demoniacal fit ones but know about them.
