How do I get into top MBA programs in the US/UK?

Hey folks, my_qualifications : I’m currently working as a Manager in Strategy at a consumer goods company in India (somehow got hired alongside IIM MBA grads—still not sure how I pulled that off). I’ve completed 1 year of full-time experience so far. Good GPA, amazing extracurriculars, Exchange at University of Cambridge.

I’m looking to apply to MBA programs at top schools like Kellogg, Booth, Haas, Tepper, LBS, and Judge (Cambridge). Most of these seem to require 3 years of experience at matriculation.

Is it realistic to apply next year when I have 2 years of work experience or should I wait another year to hit that 3-year mark? Anyone here who got in with <3 years of work ex at the time of application, would love to hear your story!
