Is the Winix C909 good for pets?

I have pretty bad allergies and woke up frequently with hay fever so I bought a Winix C545 for my bedroom--it worked perfectly and I never woke up sneezing again! However, I recently got a cat, and he's been shedding more and more. The hay fever has come back, and I don't think the C545 is strong enough for pets. I was considering getting the Winix C909 to tackle this. I don't really want to spend more than $200 if I don't have to, and I've heard good things about the C909. Has anyone with pets gotten a C909 and had a good experience with it?
