Forgotten title: Mc wakes up in body of exiled noble who was during during a ritual

Mc wakes up inside the body of an exiled noble who was killed by someone he trusted. This person then put his body, along with others, in a ritual meant to make him stronger. The MC manages to kill him and escapes to a small city. He needs to hide so he gets a fake identity. He also knows that he needs to get stronger, so he ventures off to get something the protagonist would get in the future. It was either a lineage or bloodline, I can’t remember the exact terms. Anyways, this bloodline is located in a temple in a very dangerous island. To get to this island, MC had to get on a ship piloted by statues. After he gets the bloodline, he intends to go back, but the ship is destroyed by a sea monster. So he needs to find a different way. One of his powers from the bloodline is that he can summon a creature he has slain. The creature gets stronger the more he kills the same type of creature. Eventually he finds a house/shed, where he intends to rest. But a group of soldiers and a noble lady arrive looking for shelter as well. They eventually fight monsters inside. The final monster kills most of them and only the MC, noble lady, and her guard survive. Though the guard lost one of her legs. They hide in a a room where each time they open the door, it switches locations. So eventually they end up in a desert city. Mc ventures into the city to fight golems that protect the city. I remember that I stoped reading after they face off a monster that made them go in trance.
