Any news on how Matchmaking will function?

Any news or mentions of Input based matchmaking or cross play settings? I’m hoping the player base is big enough you can turn off cross play and find console only servers.

I wish they would turn off cross play by default instead of the other way around.

Input based matchmaking is the best case scenario.
