Genuine question

For the overall population.. how long.. is too long to wait for a man to ask you out? I have been playing this game of “will they/wont they” for a while, and I just want to know if I need to make a graceful exit, because what the fuck. This man makes his interest known consistently, but honestly, it’s mostly when he’s been drinking. He does this big declaration and tells me that he’s waiting for me to figure it out, or he’s waiting on me to do something about it. There was this one time where he basically accused me of being a heart breaker and that I am the one who “forgets” about our progress.. but when he’s sober… crickets. I feel so dumb to keep waiting. Everything in me is telling me, girl.. he ain’t interested.
