What’s the most amount of building you’ve committed to in a survival world?

Me personally, I found a village relatively close to spawn with beautiful scenery. (Mountains all around, cherry trees on top of the mountains, caves everywhere, etc etc.) but it wasn’t amazing for an actual village because it lacked a lot of houses and jobs, and there were so many nearby caves that the mobs that spawned at night killed all but like 1 or 2 villagers. So I’m rebuilding! Using the wiki for blueprints, I’m making one of every job building, repopulating the village, and terraforming so there isn’t anything super high up. The problem is space and I also have no idea how to extend a village. (Is it just making houses nearby? genuinely need some help here y’all…) I’m also redoing the houses with the cherry wood equivalents so they match the area. (I’m in a plains biome if it wasn’t obvious.) Any tips would be greatly appreciated… Anyway, I hope you all have an amazing day/night, and happy building!
