Those with the Airstrait, do your roots not stay wet?

Just wondering, the Dyson air strait seems like it would leave the roots wet as you don’t really get in there? I have super thick hair, and if I leave by hair to air dry, it takes around 7-8 hours. So I would love replies to this from other girls with thick hair if possible 😅🙏🏼
