I hate that I have to say this, but stop upvoting videos of big cats interacting with each other in zoos. It's animal abuse.

:snoo: discussion

I am a behavioral biologist and have worked with zoos that are part of a governing zoo organisation like WAZA and EAZA. I do support accredited zoos.

These videos like the one that is currently on the frontpage are videos of animal abuse. They are living in roadside attractions that want to breed them to create hybrids that will attract more customers. They are most likely drugged and their offspring will be drugged as well to give customers an experience to cuddle with big cat babies.

That is not normal behavior.

And yes, they most likely are raised together which is part of the problem. They should be raised by their respective parents but these roadsite attractions will take them from their parents at a young age to raise them by hand. This is because they want them to be timid towards humans so their customers can have said cuddle experiences.

Did you forget Tiger King?

Do not upvote these videos. Do not share these videos. And do not visit such zoos. You are promoting animal abuse.
