How I built a tool to help founders validate ideas fast - would love your feedback

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed a strong thread across this sub (and others like r/Entrepreneur and r/startups): how do you validate a business idea before building? Many of you have shared that creating a landing page, talking to users, or running small ad tests helps uncover real demand cheaply - that concept of the “smoke test” keeps coming up.

About six months ago, I found myself in exactly that position: juggling multiple startup ideas but struggling to validate them efficiently and affordably.

So I teamed up with a few friends and started building something we wished existed: VenturePulse.app. At the core is PulseGrade reports, a system where you type in your startup idea and get a data-driven evaluation in under two minutes. It surfaces your strengths, flags gaps, and suggests next steps.

We’ve paired that with guided workflows for simple idea research and a basic competitor benchmarking dashboard, aiming to help founders test quickly without heavy budgets or complex tools.

Rather than pushing a product, I’d love your input:

  • Does the concept of an idea-grade (delivered in minutes) align with the kind of validation you’ve found useful?
  • What tools or techniques have worked well for you in early-stage research?
  • Would a tool like this help - in addition to landing pages and customer interviews?

If you’re up for it, I’d be happy to send you early access or simply chat about your experience until now.

Thanks in advance! Always happy to learn from the community and improve. 🙏
