Modding pirated Jedi: Survivor

I recently downloaded Jedi: Survivor using Fitgirl, and enjoy it a lot, but not being able to swap stances any time ruins the game for me. I tried downloding a mod from Nexusmods called Lightsaber Stanxes, but it didn’t work for me, and I have later read that Nexusmods often doesn’t work for pirated games. This is the first time I ever tried to mod a game, I would appreciate any help. (I have v.1.0.0.11) What I have tried: downlod the necessary modloader and mod files from nexusmods, unpack it to the Paks>~mods folder. I also tried using the Vortex mod manager but it doesn’t recgnize that I have any installed mods.
