Tips for keeping it going for 10+ years

I'm currently playing fm24 on ps5 and I really want to get the "Design a Son" unlockable, but my typical experience with football manager games is that I usually lack the stamina to push any single save past 5+ years. So my question is, does anyone have good tips for keeping it going for 10 years in a save, and how to keep it fresh, despite not being able to switch clubs?
