Hotels near Catania Fontanarossa

Good afternoon. I’m flying to Italy next week through Rome to Catania and getting a bus then to Milazzo. However, my layover in Rome is inly 45 minutes. By experience, there is a huge chance of me missing my flight to Catania. In that case I’ll just stay in Fiumicino the whole night and next day I take a flight to Catania (I already booked it in case).

The case is that in the slim chance of me making it to the Rome - Catania flight I’d arrive to late for the bus to Milazzo. Are there affordable hotels for the night near Fontanarossa? I won’t book in advance because I do not know what the situation will be. Thanks.
