First direct switch 5 + debit card payment doubt !

Hi, Sorry if this question has been answered already, I couldn't find it here !

I am trying to do the FD switch from chase and the requirement says to make 5 + debit card payment ! is it okay if I link my card to PayPal ? and send my fam n friends some small amount lets say 1p or 1 pound or something and make 5 + of them to achieve the target since I am not in the country at the moment and cant use physical card to make the payment locally here ! TIA
