Non Christian here: I have a philosophical question
So my friend is an Anglican Christian and she and I love to discuss religion.
I asked her if she believes non Christian’s don’t go to heaven.
She said that anyone who has had the chance to know Christ but chooses not accept him is not allowed in heaven, however for example if an isolated tribe in a jungle had never learned of Jesus then they would be judged on the goodness of their heart.
My response to this was that Christianity is a religion that proselytizes, so surely the more people you try to convert to Christianity the fewer are going to be judged on whether they are actually a good person. Ergo, fewer people will get into heaven.
This had her stumped and she said she’s going to ask her pastor but I thought in the meantime I’d ask Reddit.
