Question regarding libation

Hello! I’m pretty new to the Hellenic faith and today I’ve done my first libation to Hestia and Aphrodite, but I didn’t have a specific container for libations and I don’t think I’ll be able to get one because my Christian mother would question me (and she wouldn’t be very pleased). So, I used a jar that was cleaned beforehand. Is this inappropriate ?
