Have you (or anyone you know) had a supernatural/unexplainable/eerie experience?

Culture 🎉

I'll go first.

I was 9 when my parents sent me on this camp called iDiscoveri. They would take a bunch of kids for a week to some mountainside destination and you'd do a bunch of survival activities. There was outdoor survival skills, backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing etc. At camp you'd then be divided into teams and each team would get counselors or instructors. At the main camp, food was prepared for you and a buffet-style meal would be given at a location called KPRD (khana peena rona dhona); tents were already set up and we had proper bathrooms.

One night during the week is called a "night out". For the night out, camp counselors would take their team to a different location and here we'd have to do everything. Set up tents; create a stove using rocks; forage for berries; go to the bathroom in the wild etc.

I went to a place called Thirthan, which is a small village on the banks of the Tirthan river, a tributary of the Beas river. If anyone's been to Manali, they know that the Beas is a rocky and super fast-flowing river; so we had to be super careful of being around water.

On our night out, different team members took different roles; somebody pitched the tents; someone set up the stove; someone got firewood; someone else made the food. Since I was the youngest, I got assigned the responsibility of washing the cooking utensils after the whole meal was done.

Our camp was set up on high ground near the rocky beach on the banks of the river. I went to the river alone but I was in clear visibility of my whole team. As I was washing the pressure cooker in which we made khichdi, I looked up and I saw on the other side of the bank a small girl with two braids, red ribbons in her hair and wearing a school uniform. I looked down again and when I looked up, no one was there. So I thought I might have imagined the whole thing.

The next morning, I found a red ribbon in my backpack. I don't wear ribbons; I have never worn ribbons. When I told my counselor, he said there's a local legend that many many years ago, a girl named Bhuri fell into the river on her way to school. Since then she protects the children of the valley. If at any point another child is about to fall into the river, she will protect them and give them a ribbon. He then made me tie the ribbon to a tree near the edge of the river.

I never went back to Tirthan or had anything happen to me; but this story has never left me

What about you guys, what supernatural incidents have you or people you know been through.
