Piraeus safety at night

Our ferry from Paros does not arrive to the Piraeus port in Athens until 11:20pm. Is it safe at night? I was planning on booking a private car to pick us up and bring us to our accommodation. I could book an earlier ferry but that would cut our time in Paros short. Thanks in advance!
