Funny feeling in Farro…

You know when people, in the middle of a dramatic story or in tv shows & movies, say “I just had a feeling __ [insert some psychic foreshadowing here]__” ? Usually about a twin or child going through pain, a loss close in the family or imminent doom… I was browsing my local, at an unpopular time, & I had this strong feeling my former boss was nearby. I got super anxious & felt almost on the verge of dissociating … Typically, I’m not the woo woo type but, this was the closest I’ve gotten because I walk to the cash register & there she bloody is. For context, this is one of the worst humans I’ve ever encountered, let alone former leaders. I let her live rent free in my head despite quitting 6 months ago & happily in a new, well respected role in a different part of the city. I let her live there because the weight of her damage drags that slowly out of me. I‘ve even considered writing an ambiguous rant on here about her because she’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, well-know in the Auckland hospitality scene… But, choose to not expend that energy on anything less than moving on / appreciating the growth. UNTIL NOW. So weird.

Has anyone else ever had “that feeling” …?

By the way, I obviously pretended I was on the phone, didn’t make eye contact & walked right out without my groceries, as one does. Lol 👍
