Anyone paddle the creek from Freeland Lake to Kakakise Lake this year?

Looking to paddle a loop from George Lk. > Kakakise Lk > Killarney Lake> then back to George, I am experienced but will be alongside a novice paddler. Anyone paddled this yet? Hoping we can skip the 1770m portage. Jeff's map suggests its usually doable although im sure theres a very high chance of many beaver dam carry-overs.
