What Israel is doing is entirely consistent with Islamic theological arguments

(Question/Discussion)

This post is based entirely on Muslim theological talking points and should not base itself upon Eurocentric ideals of human rights and should also not be used as a talking point in your response.

  1. Israel is helping Muslims achieve their ultimate goal. For Muslims, the ultimate goal (and every Muslim would agree with me on this) is to end up in paradise for whatever means. Because as we also understand, that is the abode for eternity, and this world (dunya) is temporary. Even desires for land reclamation and land rights pales in comparison to the beauty of Paradise. Islam believes that every individual Muslim who dies on the fight for jihad is guaranteed not only paradise, but its highest and best form of paradise, Jannatul Firdaus. A huge consensus made by Islamic scholars would agree that the Palestinan people are going to paradise and have been assured of their guaranteed reward. By this analysis, it seems to be the case that Israel is helping to facilitate their guarantee of heaven, because without them it would no longer be possible to guarantee a one way ticket to heaven. So its a win-win situation, Israel gets their 'temporary in dunya' reward of land but they will be punished in the afterlife and the palestinians suffering is rewarded because they get to go to paradise.
  2. This 'suffering' has been predicted in Islamic eschatology. The sixth books of hadith (Kitab Al Sitta) are majority considered to be valid and true in Islamic circles. One of the hadith recorded in Sahih Muslim, one of the books, states that 'The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.' -Sahih Muslim 2922. Many islamic scholars have attributed the Israeli state to the coming of the dajjal. So the palestinians suffering is largely considered to be a gateway towards the fulfilment of this hadith. So, by extension, it would seem useless to ask for a ceasefire because it seems to indicate less than favourable trust in Allah and his divine wisdom because, it means that you dont want to fight anymore. A more consistent, honourable Muslim who believes in Allah would instead keep on fighting because he knows that it will culminate in the victory of the Muslims over the Yahud. Because the Israeli state, as predicted would lose anyway.
  3. Islamic principles of humanity, compassion and justice is only applicable between Muslims themselves and not of non-Muslims. This is to preempt the Islamic principle that whoever takes a life, is like he took all of humanity nad whoever saves a life, saves all of humanity. According to many tafsirs, especially very popular/known ones like Ibn Kathir, this application does not apply to non Muslims as they are considered kuffar or disbelievers. This is why throughout history, Muslims are not allowed to enslave Muslims but are allowed to enslave non Muslims like how they did with the balkan christian kids to grow into janissaries as well as the yezidis. Islamic principles also heavily emphaasise on differentiating from the Kuffar and disassociating from non believers (al wala wal bara) such as shaving your moustache and growing your beard. It seems highly likely in this case, that Muslim organisations appeal for justice and humanitarian ideals are more of a strategic move rather than a genuine commitment to humanistic ideals. because it is highly unlikely the muslim world would care if the palestinians were, god forbid not even if they were non-muslim, but even if they were the wrong type of muslim such as being shia, their occupation and murder would be justify based on the islamic principles alone. Don't believe me? Look at the reaction and silence of the Muslim world towards the Ahmadis in Pakistan or even the Zaydi Shias in Yemen who are suffering through worse. They conveniently place the Yemeni struggle as 'universal' but when you ask them about the Zaydi Shias being the ones oppressed, suddenly they have no problem with that statement.
