Can Saving the Rain by Elliott Rose be read as a standalone?

Like the title says, the book {Saving the Rain by Elliot Rose} is supposed to come out on August 26. But I noticed it’s listed as book 4 in a series. The others look like M/F books, but this one’s a cowboy MM romance, and that’s the only reason I was interested.

Does anyone know if it can be read on its own or do I need to read the other books first?
