Are the Fancy Hooks Worth It?

While I am waiting for my hand to heal (carpal tunnel & trigger finger release), of course I am jonesing to make something.

I have bookmarked or downloaded what feels like 100 patterns, I have added dozens of skeins of yarn to my cart...there are 65 skeins in my Herrschner's cart rn, but I think I will wait for free postage... this does not count Premier, Etsy or Hobbii's Halloween that I can't find elsewhere. 🤣 Anyway, I have stumbled upon these gorgeous but expen$ive ergonomic crochet hooks and now they are showing up in my SM feed.

I absolutely cannot justify the $100+ wood ones, but the resin ones in the $20 ish range, maybe. Now also know that I have a full set of Clover Soft Touch and a few Prym that I have used that I really like. I've also tried multiple metal ones with silicone padding, but the thumb area wears on me after awhile... you know, where most put the sizes? My hold is mostly knife-ish.

Are they worth it? Anyone with arthritis, post surgery, etc that found one that they love?
