Best jazz bar/clubs to visit?

Hey y’all, my wife and I are visiting from Dallas next week, and we’d like to visit a jazz bar during our trip. Not looking for anything pretentious or fancy, just some good jazz and decent wine, if they serve good food that’s a plus. We’ll be staying in South End so something nearby would be ideal, but if it’s worth it we don’t mind taking a uber there.

A few places I’ve looked into are Wally’s, The Bebop, and Mad Monkfish. Honestly, leaning towards Mad Monkfish since we are planning to check out Cambridge and we love sushi, but I’d love to hear from the locals.
