Just got done with DS2. I had a couple of questions

Loved the game. I was not able to understand two things. Would be great if someone could answer:

1. Why did Lou went through rapid age acceleration when he was teleported to Neil’s dream/beach. Was it done purposely? If yes, then why?

2. Why were bridges so keen on Lucy’s baby? They said it’s because it would be a child of a repatriate but die-hardman does mention that Bridges would have Sam’s semen samples since they collected of every employee who had DOOMS. They could have easily made babies out of those.
