Olana NY State Historic Park - Nikon ZF, 24-70 f4 (lighter image f22, 1/40th, the one with more shadows, same aperture, but faster shutter at 1/80th)

I found a clearing in the woods that framed Frederic Church's home at Olana just right but can't decide which image works best. I think I slightly prefer the one with deeper shadows, but my wife likes the brighter one.

I want the photo to communicate the beauty of the landscape in the spirit of the Hudson River School’s approach to their landscape paintings.

Any preferences?
