I’m sick of being “weird”

Whenever I’m with other people I have this sense that I’m seen as the “weird” person in the group. Whether it’s family, friends, coworkers, etc. I don’t feel like people see me as an intelligent, self-aware adult. I feel like they humor me out of pity and deep down they all look down on me. I’ll say something that I think is a normal observation and people will laugh like I said a joke. When I talk about things I like no one seems to care or they say something like “oh, that’s cool!” but how an adult would talk down to a child. I’m 28.

I don’t know how to dress “cool” and I don’t drink or smoke which makes me stick out even more in social settings. I just wish I could be seen as a normal person to others and not a weirdo/loser.
