Looking for Recommendations: Dog Hiking Packs for Backpacking Trips 🐾⛰️

Hi everyone, We’ve started taking our pup on backpacking trips and used the Ruffwear Palisades Pack last time. Loved the modularity (being able to remove the saddlebags at camp), but it felt bulky, didn’t cinch down well, and got soaked every time our dog hit the water.

Looking for something:

• Lightweight • Water-friendly • Secure fit • Ideally modular (but not a must)

So now I’m looking for alternatives and hoping to crowdsource some opinions from this awesome community.

Here are a couple I’ve come across:

1. Saker Lander + Detachable Pouches – Seems modular like the Palisades, but I haven’t seen many reviews. https://sakercanine.com/products/tt-2012

2. Nonstop Dogwear. These aren’t modular, but I’ve heard great things about the brand’s durability and fit.

…I’d love to hear your thoughts! What’s worked for your pup on the trail?

Thanks in advance — happy hiking! 🐶🎒
