11 vs 12spd

Hey everyone, I’m currently looking at getting an Otso Warakin and was wondering what people’s thoughts are on 1x11 vs 1x12 drivetrains. To upgrade to a 12 speed (SRAM apex) it’s about 500$ more than the standard 1x11 shimano grx 800. Do you think this is worth it or should I just save some cash? For context the bike is gonna be a do it all bike. Commuting to work and mix of gravel/road and single track.
