Lets force businesses to provide bike racks*.

This isnt a problem Downtown nearly as much as it is in Suburban Toronto and the 905, but have you ever ridden your bike somewhere, get there, and realize there are no bike racks, so you have to lock up to a random pole, fence or sign? Its really f@$%ing annoying right?

We force business to provide parking for cars, theres technically still a old law on the books that requires them to provide a place to tie off a horse, but we dont require them to provide a dedicated place for their customers on bicycles to safley lock their bikes?

Idk it just seems kinda ridiculous to me, more people are riding bikes, why not take a small area of your plaza, store front, parking lot, whatever the case and provide atleast 1 or 2 bike racks. I dont want to lock my bike to a random street pole and have my bike be in the way, but if you give me no other option, well sorry, too bad.

Though, all of this is void if theres a public rack within a very short walk. Either way, i think its stupid we require car parking but not bike parking in a place that says it wants bikes. Its literally the same concept as parking minimums, but for bikes.
