A book about a teen assassin with seven personalities

Hello I'm trying to find a book for my mother. All she can remember is that it was about an Assassin who decides to make an assassin out of a street kid who has seven personalities, and you only find out that the personalities are the one person towards the end.

Any help would be appreciated.
