Cannot literally find a job bit of a rant
I got fired from a premium audit position last may ( bad management, poor training, etc). I’ve been struggling to look for full time roles for over a year I’ve applied to over 1,000-2,000 roles; I’ve looking into any entry level positions (accounting clerk A/P, A/R,payroll, assistant positions, audit, tax, staff accountant etc.) I’ve applied everywhere you can think of, I’m located in southeast Connecticut jobs for these roles are scant compared to the rest of the state (Hartford and Fairfield). I’ve tried multiple temp agencies as well, they didn’t give me any offers. I did managed to find a position at H&R Block as a tax associate but it was temporary and part time. I could not get interned during undergrad in grad school cause I was quesy about doing the 150 credits ( it’s expensive!) and the recruiters hate me for some reason. I was also underemployed during undergrad, I missed out on plenty of job opportunities, I was working at a grocery store with an associates in business. I also have no connections either I don’t know anybody despite being part of a run club and I did the accounting society/ima club I’m currently in grad school doing the 150 credits because I don’t have a choice . I can’t even afford it I have to pay for rent, food etc. I have to borrow money from mom + dad. I’m inexperienced in accounting so it’s a hard sell to recruiters and I also struggle in interviews I have low level autism it’s hard to talk about recruiters about my accomplishments and it’s hard to socialize with people in general cause it’s costly and I’m unemployed and nobody is interested in starting conversations with me. Everyone thinks there is something off so recruiters and everyone else hates me. I’m so discouraged
