Dallas Bandai Card Fest 2on2 Sign-Up

This is my first time ever going to a Bandai Card Game Fest and was lost on this specific side event… does both my friend and I need to separately sign up on tixr for the event. Or is it okay if only one of us bought a tixr event slot and put the other’s name as teammates?
