How do these songs sound similar?

Hello LetsTalkMusic,
I'm not very well versed in music, musical theory, or anything like it.
I recently listened to Pretty Girls Make Graves by The Smiths (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGl7g\_a5YLA). Personally, I think this song sounds like the following two songs by the band Schandmaul "combined": Teufelsweib (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qswWv\_kuS7I) and Der Spielmann (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcUgtsm2wwY).
My girlfriend says they sound nothing at all alike, but they absolutely do to me, and I feel like I could express how, but like I said I don't know about music or musical theory and so I lack the words to express it.
Do any of you know what I mean and put it into words? It's specifically the beginnings of the songs rather than the entirety of them.
Note: I'm not asking if you agree with me, I feel like I am 100% correct and there is something they have in common, I just can't say what it is and would like help figuring/pointing it out.
