Can the landlord hold a party where you rent to live?

For a friend kinda tricky. The landlord has a business on the property. He's agreed business is business and property is property. Untill yesterday no discussion just 2 hr warning when he decided to throw a party n have a fire (whiles where's a fire ban because of water shortage) not stop drinking and some people actually drive home after drinking! Can a landlord just decide that he dosn't Want to throw a party at his house and throw it at the house/property someones renting? He keep saying it's his property and he can do what he wants. (meanwhile they actually sublease from him he isn't even the real landlord)
