What is your LO’s bedtime routine?

I keep reading people referring to the bedrime routines for their LO’s as being an hour or so long. Ours is maybe ten minutes at best and I keep wondering what you all do as your routine that makes it so long.

I read him a picture book, change him into his pyjamas and sleep sack, change his diaper and massage his belly with belly oil, walk him over to daddy to say good night, hold him in my arms for a few good cuddles and sing a lullaby, place him in his crib and say goodnight.

What do y’all do that makes the bedtime routine last so long? Do you bathe your baby’s every day?

(NB: we don’t give him a bath every day and because of that irregularity, and also the fact that he doesn’t particularly like baths, we don’t add it to the night routine.)
