What simracing accessory should I buy first? A shifter or a handbrake?

So I've had my G29 for a few weeks I'd say now. I'm planning to get either a shifter or handbrake and don't know which one to get/get first. I play games like CarX (sometimes on VR), BeamNG, and Assetto Corsa with mods (specifically No Hesi). They're around the same price (5 dollar difference). Which one should I get that would be more worth it and "usable"?
