Besides Yuji Itadori being the main character, I think he is scales wrongly by the community because narratively wise he isn't that glazed as much as Sukuna, Gojo, Kenjaku and Yuta, but feat wise he is the third strongest character in the verse:

To analyze Itadori's feats correctly we have to consider.

A weakened Sukuna was strong enough to beat a fresh Yuta and a fresh Maki with certain ease.

Itadori was severely weakened as far the fight progressed, as Sukuna said he already surpassed his limits on that fight for a long time.

Itadori can use black flashes almost freely, meaning that he can get amped up a lot in the fight.

Itadori has probably one of the most busted arsenals which consist of:Superhuman physical strength, genius-like CE efficiency, Shrine and BM, soul understanding and RCT.

Itadori is only behind Gojo and Sukuna and hand to hand combat and strength and he can get much stronger in the fight because of black flashes that can also makes his attacks hurt even more, his attacks hits the soul of his opponent so if he lands a punch, it will be deadly for anyone not called Sukuna or Gojo.

He is also pretty hard to put down and endured basically the whole fight against Sukuna, add BM to it and he can regenerate his limbs if somehow they get cutted off.

Since he has also poisonous blood due to eating the wombs, his Blood Manipulation is also deadly if it lands a hit with his blood, he didn't used most of the time on Sukuna's fight because he needed to constantly nerf Sukuna with soul punches aiming specifically the limit between Sukuna's and Megumi's soul, but he trained switching his body with Choso so his understanding of this CT is pretty good, and poison is said to be one of the hardest things to heal by RCT.

Unlike most of the community says, Itadori has good domain feats, his simple domain endured a full power MS focusing solely him for some time, and simple domains are still domains and can have barriers, meaning his domain IS a strong domain and can clash with Yuta's and Hakari's DE, and his simple domain will counter Kenjaku's DE, the only reason that didn't look a strong domain is because was improvised the time he used and he was already in the limits of his strength.

His shrine isn't something to underestimate since a tired Yuji's shrine was able to cut Sukuna's feet.

How a fight vs Yuta or Kenjaku would go?

1. Against Yuta

He is strong enough to endure Yuta's 5 minutes and can maybe even win!

If Rika gets close she will get pushed away or one shotted by a black/shrine like happened with Ryu and Yuta will get demolished if he tries to 1v1 a black flash amped Itadori without Rika to cover him. There is also the risk of him getting hit by the poison and this will cost him time and CE to regenerate.

If he opens his domain expansion Itadori can also open his and stall a clash against him and Rika inside the domain, if the clash ends up a draw, Yuta will be fucked, since Itadori is a monster without having to use his CT and will beat the shit out of him.

And no, just because Rika hold a very very weaker tired and mentally broke Itadori doesn't mean she can do the same with a infinitely stronger locked in Itadori.

Sky Manipulation, Cursed Speech can will be a problem and maybe Jacobs Ladder, Itadori can handle Cursed Speech and Sky Manipulation and Jacobs Ladder don't have the AP to significantly damage him and he can also just dodge and Sky Manipulation won't protect him from a cleave/dismantle, and playing defensive would be what Yuji is since he just needs to hold down Yuta for 5 minutes and GG

Love Beam is too slow, so Yuji can just dodge.

2. Against Kenjaku

CSM won't be a problem, and may help Yuji to stack Black Flashes.

In a H2H combat he can take on Kenjaku without much problems.

Gravity CT can be a factor to Kenjaku's victory

If Kenjaku open his domain expansion, Itadori, who even tired endured Sukuna's full power MS for some time, can just use a simple domain to tank it handly, Kenny goes into a CT burnout, and Yuji can end him in a physical combat or open his domain.

Of course he won't win 100% of the time (even more against his mom), but isn't absurd to say that he is strong enough to be equal to Yuta at least

EOS Yuji Itadori may be top 3 of the verse
