Trip to York help

Good people of York, me and my partner are coming to York in a week for 3 days. We've already got a few things planned like the railway museum, ghost tour, and waiting in line for the Ghost Merchants. What i'm looking for is good places to go for food in the evening? Nothing too fancy, also needs to be in the centre as neither of us drive and we're staying near the Masons Arms (which has already been recommended). Also we've planned lunch on one day at Ipukku Tea House. I have looked on Trip Advisor but always find asking locals much better as places can be sponsored to be on those lists. Thank you in advance.
