“Ughhh! Fuji!” Himari's voice came “You were screaming again! I couldn't sleep!”

“Yeah!” Sakura chimed in from the doorway, arms crossed. “I had a dream about puppies and then you ruined it!”

Fuji looked down “sowwy…”

“Mum said you need to take the sleepy medicine, but you keep refusing”

Fuji sat up quickly. “No yucky!” he whined, cheeks puffed.

“Where is it…” Himari mumbled, opening a drawer.

"Noware" Fuji said trying to stop them from serching

Sakura opened the cupboard. “I found it!”

Fuji gasped. “No! Miiine!” He bolted after her, arms flailing.

The girls ran in circles through the hallway, tossing the little white bottle to each other like it was a game of keep-away.

"Children under 5 shouldnonly have this once a day" Himari said out loud, Fuji was reaching up to her hand desperately trying to get those pills out of her grip, but just as Fuji was about to grab it, Himari threw it over the room to Sakura

Fuji chased them, feet pattering fast on the wooden floor, jumping up and down with little growls.

“‘For ages 3 and up,’” Sakura read off. “Yep, that’s you.”

“It says it helps with bad dreams!” Sakura added. Fuji froze. Then turned and ran.

“Nooo!” he cried out, eyes wide, feet clumsy. The girls didn’t hesitate — they gave chase. Himari was faster. “Gotcha!”

She grabbed him by the armpits and sat him on the rug. “You need it, Himari. You keep waking us up. And you didn’t even nap yesterday!”

Fuji sniffled and flopped down, face first into the carpet. “No want it! Yuckyyyyy!” he wailed, kicking his legs behind him, he coudnt bare the pills how they spreaded his toung with there chemical taste, how they made him gag

"Wait" Himari whispered "didnt mum tell us not to touch the medicin cupboard"

"Do you want another sleepless night" Sakura whispered back

Himari stayed silent

"Exacally" Sakura looked back at Fuji. “We’ll give you a treat after, promise.”

Fuji squirmed and shook his head.

“Okay,” Himari said flatly. “Plan B.”

Before he could run again, Himari scooped him up under the arms and sat him on her lap, holding his arms down.

“Noooooo!” he shrieked.

“listen, i know you dont like those pills, but if you dont take them you'll keep having nightmares wouldn't you,” Himari said.

Sakura leaned in, "that wouldnt make us very good sisters would it, we know you can be brave" pinching the pill between her fingers. Fuji clamped his mouth shut. “open wide” Sakura said

She pried his mouth open with two fingers. Fuji squealed as Sakura tossed the pill inside. He gagged, “Quick, his sippy cup!” Himari barked. Sakura rushed off and came back with a blue and pink sippy cup woth the number 25 on it. “Drink drink!” she said.

Himari held his mouth closed with her palm. Sakura squirted the water between his lips. Fuji spluttered, kicked, then finally swallowed. “Blehhh!” he moaned, lips twisted.

“You’re done!” Sakura said, releasing him. They both squeezed him in a hug both taking turns in kissing his forehead. Sakura reached behind her and held up a Tayaki. “…fishy?” Fuji sniffled, blinking up. “Yeah, your favorite for being sutch a brave little boy.” He snatched it from her hands and scurried away on all fours like a puppy, crawling under the kitchen table.
