Best bookshelf speaker match for Thorens TD160 + Ortofon 2M Black + Kenwood KA-9100 — RP600M II vs 12.2 vs BR04 (or others)?

Purchasing USA

Looking for advice on bookshelf speakers to pair with my current analog setup: • Turntable: Thorens TD160 • Cartridge: Ortofon 2M Black • Amp: Kenwood KA-9100 (vintage solid-state, 90W into 8Ω)

The Ortofon is pretty detailed (borderline analytical), and I’m looking for something that balances that out — ideally not too bright, good mids, and enjoyable for long listening sessions. I mostly play vinyl: jazz, classic rock, acoustic, and some soul.

Right now I’m considering: • Klipsch RP-600M II • Wharfedale Diamond 12.2 • Triangle Borea BR04

All bookshelf speakers — no towers. Budget is around $500–800.

Any impressions on how these pair with a warm-ish vintage amp and a detailed cart like the 2M Black? Or other bookshelf options you’d recommend in that price range?

Thanks in advance!
