RDJ’s Doom becomes Invincible Iron Man?

This is a weird thought, but something that I think could be fun if pulled off right.

Obviously many of us think Doom should be used as much as possible, and I think he should survive post Secret Wars (that’s if the entire universe isn’t rebooted but I do think some characters will carry over to the new one).

Killing Iron Man off was emotional and added stakes to these movies but they did not have a good enough plan in place to replace some of these heroes. So imagine Doomsday does well and RDJ’s performance is well received. I think they could take aspects from the Invincible Iron Man story and make him take the mantle of the next Iron Man.

Some may say it is creatively bankrupt but I don’t think it’s crazy to assume they wouldn’t be against having RDJ get to appear in the IM suit again.

Thoughts?
